ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Our founder chairman Thiru. K. Ramasamy was born in a small village, K. Duraisamypuram, Kovilpatti Taluk, Thoothukudi District, Tamilnadu. The greatness of any man lies not only in reaching new heights in his chosen field but also in his missionary zeal to rid the society of the disabilities to which he was once a victim himself. Born in an industrially backward area, our chairman had to surmount many obstacles before attaining success, the obstacles like the lack of proper education to hone one’s talents. Any right thinking person will be naturally inclined to contribute his mite to remove such obstacles coming in the way of the progress of the future generations.
In his early days, he had firsthand knowledge of the problems from which his fellow beings suffered due to a lack of technical education.. It was precisely this fellow feeling which prompted him to establish a technical institute in this area when he was blessed with the financial resources for such an enterprise. His boyhood dreams came true, culminating in the establishment of this Polytechnic and National Engineering College in the year 1984 & thirteen years later, K.R. College of Arts & Science College.
